  • My distinctive orange and black coat which is as unique to me as your fingerprint is to you. No two tigers have the same coat patterns.

  • I measure approximately 2-3 metres from head to tail.

  • Favourite food

  • I’m a meat eater (carnivore) and eat other small and medium sized mammals like deer, wild boar and cattle.

  • Home

  • We’re found primarily in India but there are smaller groups in Bangladesh, Bhutan and Nepal.

  • Current population

  • Around 2,000 left in the wild.

  • Biggest threat

  • The poaching of tigers for our skins and for use in traditional Asian medicines, and poaching of our prey. Habitat loss is also forcing us into smaller and smaller areas.

  • I will typically travel between 6-12 miles during one night’s hunting.
