Adélie penguins are found on the Antarctic continent and on a number of Antarctic islands including; Bouvet Island, South Orkney, South Sandwich Islands and many of the islands surrounding Antarctica including the South Shetland islands. They spend the winter offshore in the seas surrounding the Antarctic pack ice.
